I am an author of the screenplay, costumes and the whole Art-Direction.
The story is not chronological, and it is telling by a narrator. Characters are expressed like the symbols. For example:
Franz Kafka appears as a dark or very light-coloured outline.
For the costumes creating I have used real photographic material – to help remind in the real look Kafka’s friends (Franz Urzidil, Max Brod etc.)
they appear there as an accidental walker on Prague streets.
Milena Jesenska and Dora Diamant has common colours.
