(...) And finally, a few words about the paintings of Ester Krumbachová. They are part of her private world and lead us far into the past, back to the games of childhood imagination. Yet they also contain much of her later understanding, as evidenced by the refinement of their artistic execution. Above all, they captivate us through a peculiar union of naivety – which Ester Krumbachová herself acknowledges as a great strength – with an ancient life experience that recalls the history of our planet and its creatures. The playful lightness of imagination that seems to float in these works is at the same time a terrifying force that cannot be controlled.
